Why am I creating this blog?

I'm an English teacher for almost 10 years. I have tried and still doing my best to deliver the best lesson for my students. However, teaching English to 7 years old children that do not have any exposure to English are the hardest thing to do. Things can get even harder when these children didn't have proper kindergarten learning experience. These children have to struggle to keep up with the syllabus and LINUS assessment. As their teacher, I also have to struggle. I need to nurture them, give them strong basic of the language while making sure they are not left behind. For doing that, I need a lot of materials and the best way to find one is through Google. From my experience of googling, until now there is not a single blog and website dedicated  for sharing teaching and learning materials for English Year 1. By creating this blog, I really hope that I can contributes something for the nation and the students.

Beside that, I was really move when I read " The Schools That Our Children Deserve" a book written by Alfie Kohn. Through that book I realised that, there are not a single weak students in any class. It was actually up to us;the teacher.  

Do I create all the materials by myself?

I really hope I can. Unfortunately no, I cannot. Most of all the ideas, pictures, videos, materials etc are taken from other sites. I modify some of them, to fit our curriculum however I will do my very best to list all the resources.

Am I the best Year 1 English teacher?

I'm trying to be the best teacher for my students. I'm on my way of perfecting my teaching skills. Hopefully, in the near future I can give my students " First Class Learning Experience".
